As Accounts & Procurement Officer you will play a crucial role in supporting the management team by capturing and entering costs accurately and efficiently, ensuring PM’s have the correct information to hand in a timely manner to successfully manage all their jobs, and make the correct profit margin. You will also play a crucial role in supporting the handyman teams by sourcing and ordering materials in a useful and pro-active manner, ensuring they can maximise their time to complete jobs onsite as efficiently as possible.

Accounting

  • Bookkeeping and data processing  – Suppliers, subcontractors, Customers
  • Cost capture all relevant bills in CRM system for invoicing
  • Process weekly timesheets and expenses
  • Process weekly and monthly payments via BACS
  • Reconcile and process month end for suppliers
  • Reconcile and file CIS monthly
  • Reconcile and close the books every quarter and file the VAT returns
  • Generate monthly counter charge schedule & invoices
  • Reconcile monthly bank statement

Buying/Procurement

  • Place all material orders
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure orders, delivery and bills are captured
  • Manipulate and upload supplier specific pricing into CRM
  • Maintain a database of top items and best prices
  • Source non standard items when required

General

  • Manage central inbox alongside Ops Manager
  • Manage phone line
  • Contribute to and lead parts of weekly team meeting
